The gites (blue) are just a few
steps away from the main entrance to the castle (purple). The castle grounds
and surrounding moat (now grassy) are open all day and make a great
adventure play area for children.
The medieval war machines demonstration area is to the top right of this
plan, more or less where it is marked "feuille".
The courtyard pool is located
between the gites. Each gite has an independent private garden.
Le Tilleul
and its garden are to the top in this map of the village.
Le Figuier and its
garden are below. Both houses are accessed from the lane on the right of the
plot.
Within the castle walls are a
museum of life in the Middle Ages, a creperie serving drinks, snacks and
ice-creams and range of small art and craft shops. There is an "auberge"
restaurant within easy walking distance - just off the map, a little further
along the road at the top heading off to the right.
