These self-catering gites (cottages) are located side-by-side in a villages listed in many publications as one of the "most beautiful in France". Each gite has a large private garden with a dining patio, and shared use of a courtyard pool located between the two.
The farmhouse "Le Tilleul" sleeps 6 to 8 people, the barn "Le Figuier" sleeps up to 5, both with a baby cot available on request. For large groups, or families travelling together, both gites can be booked and have exclusive use of the swimming pool. Pets are welcome by arrangement. Airports at Bordeaux and Toulouse (Air France, Easyjet), or Pau and Bergerac (Ryanair) offer a choice of direct flights daily from many airports in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, and are all at approximately 90 minutes drive by car.
The Gascony region in the south-west is still relatively undiscovered by tourists, and so provides an opportunity to relax and enjoy something of the real France. The bustling market town of Condom is only 5km away and offers all amenities and a range of restaurants. The area abounds with history with its medieval fortified villages at Fourcès, Montréal du Gers, La Romieu, l'Abbaye de Flaran, to name but a few. There are colourful weekly markets in Condom, as well as at the nearby towns of Nérac, Eauze and Lectoure.
All around is the gently rolling countryside of the Gers with its patchwork of Armagnac vines and sunflower fields. Horse-riding, tennis and leisure lakes are all nearby, and a superb 18-hole golf course is just 20km distant. The Landes forest to the west offers excellent walking and cycling possibilities. Beaches (at Biarritz and Mimizan-plage) or the Pyrenee mountains (and ski-slopes) are both about 90 minutes drive, making an easy day-trip.
Larressingle is a great place to unwind and enjoy the slower pace of life, and savour the local cuisine, at any time of year. The summer's are warm, the winters mild and short, and spring and autumn offer perfect weather for walking, cycling and just enjoying the great outdoors.
